Choosing disposable gloves
Our disposable gloves are from Sterimax, in cases of 1,000. The range includes nitrile, vinyl, nitrile-vinyl blend and latex, in thicknesses from a light 3.5 g examination glove to 8 g PowerHold diamond-grip gloves for mechanics and heavy-duty work. There are also 290 mm long-cuff styles and the biodegradable EcoHold nitrile glove.
Nitrile is the best all-rounder: strong, resistant to oils, and free from latex for anyone with an allergy. Vinyl is the cheapest option for short, low-risk tasks. Latex gives the best fit and feel, where latex allergy isn't a concern.
The weight in grams is a rough guide to thickness. Around 3.5 g suits light-touch tasks, 5–6.5 g is a general-purpose glove, and 7.5–8 g is heavy duty.
What to look for
