About Regatta
Regatta traces back to 1977, when Lionel Black — already thirty years into the waterproof trade — bought Risol Products, a six-employee wholesaler supplying workwear and footwear to army and navy shops. He began developing the Regatta brand in 1981, and the company was renamed Regatta Ltd in 1996. It remains a privately owned family business headquartered in Trafford Park, Manchester, and now also owns Craghoppers and Dare2b.
Regatta Professional is the trade-facing arm, applying the outdoor brand's waterproof and insulation know-how to workwear: softshells, fleeces, waterproof jackets, bodywarmers, base layers and polos. The advantage of that lineage is real — these are garments engineered by a company whose core business is keeping people dry on a Scottish hillside, not a workwear brand that added a jacket.
Regatta Professional suits teams who want workwear that people are happy to wear off site as well as on it — facilities, utilities, grounds maintenance, delivery and client-facing field staff. It takes embroidery well and comes in a broader colour range than most trade brands.
There is currently 1 product from Regatta in the catalogue, covering clothing and workwear, from £32.00 ex VAT. Everything is available on business terms, with trade pricing that improves with volume. Orders over £150 ex VAT are delivered free, and most stocked lines dispatch for next-day delivery.
