Where is Leo Workwear based?

Leo Workwear is a British hi-vis specialist based in Barnstaple, North Devon, where its garments are designed.

Does Leo Workwear do Class 3 hi-vis?

Yes. Leo covers all three EN ISO 20471 classes. Its sleeved vests (such as the Shirwell S01), sweatshirts, hoodies, anoraks, bomber jackets and the Molland CV01 coverall are Class 3.

What class are the Bideford CT01 trousers?

The Bideford CT01 cargo trousers are EN ISO 20471 Class 1 in every colour. Worn with a certified Class 2 or 3 top they can make up a Class 3 outfit, but only where Leo certifies that combination.

Is the Lynton W11 vest Class 1 or Class 2?

Both, depending on colour. All-fluorescent Lyntons (yellow, orange, yellow/orange, yellow/red) are Class 2, or Class 1 in size XS. Colours with a dark lower half, such as yellow/navy or orange/grey, are Class 1.

Which Leo garments are approved for Network Rail?

Most Leo lines meet RIS-3279-TOM in orange. Yellow and two-tone colours do not. See our Leo rail hi-vis page for the full list.

What do Leo's 4K, 15K and 20K labels mean?

They give the fabric's waterproofing in millimetres of water: 4K is 4,000 mm, 20K is 20,000 mm. Higher numbers keep out heavier rain for longer. The garments are also rated under EN 343.

Are the coloured Pilton W05 vests hi-vis?

No. The Pilton W05 comes in colours such as pink, royal and green for telling teams or roles apart. Leo sells it for identification only, and it does not meet EN ISO 20471.

What is Leo EcoViz?

EcoViz is Leo's hi-vis made from recycled plastic bottles. Leo has moved its whole range over to it, and each EcoViz garment is certified to EN ISO 20471 in its own right.
